Chemicals like zinc or sulfur can leach into our waterways, and while not in the largest quantities, if you plan on harvesting rainwater good luck, these chemicals will make that much more challenging.
Luckily there is a major new solution in the form of sodium percarbonate otherwise known as oxygen bleach.
Basically a stronger form of baking soda, Oxygen bleach products like Spencer's Eco Roof Wash use the power of oxygen to kill organic growth.
Surprisingly oxygen is one of the most powerful substances we have at our disposal. It is nice to breathe but also helps keep your roof clean!
